Penguin Series Review

I decided to review this series because I thoroughly enjoyed it on HBO for anyone to know where to watch it; the series follows Oswald Cob, a.k.a. the Penguin, who demonstrates exceptional cunning; his character reminds me of the phone as both sides have power and know how to obtain it. The Penguin gains power by working for whatever side benefits him the most through blackmail and a ruthless nature. His only weakness is how much he cares for his mother, who has severe dementia. Another character I liked was Sophia Falcone. Her ability to function as normally as she did was remarkable because he suffered 10 years in a mental institution for crimes that he did not commit. I found it unique because of how stable her character was after that amounted to suffering.

I admired her mental fortitude. I also mired her ability to draw people to her as she reorganized and formed a new crime family all her own: the pursuit of eliminating the Penguin for the murder of her brother, perpetrated by the Penguin in the first episode. Another character I liked was more significant and regular, a street kid who became the Penguin's right-hand man in his gradual rise to power. I was interested to see how Penguin would mentor this individual, and I wasn't disappointed in that respect because the main lesson they would teach was to stand up for themselves and think on their feet. An  Important lesson It was in the profession. Penguin was in, and like any good crime boss, the Penguin engaged in a little bit of everything. I was disappointed with how Victor's story turned out when The Penguin considered close emotional bonds a weakness he couldn't afford. I also found it disappointing that the Penguin promised his mother that if her illness got bad enough, he would put her to sleep. But in the end, he couldn't bring himself to do it even though he said he would. I've always believed that if somebody promises something, they should carry it out, but I understand why he finds this premise difficult and complex for his mother. He is my favorite Batman villain due to his determination to succeed despite having some physical limitations. This series is an excellent way to understand the Penguin's character before the release of Batman 2
